Three typical cottages found on the canal

Lock Cottage on the canal near Woofferton c1969, now demolished.

There were originally two cottages here and housed the Canal Company surveyor and family who also oversaw the two Woofferton locks. A smaller adjacent one housed a general company canal worker and his family and can just be seen in the distance to right.

Lock Cottage at The Moors near Leominster c1975, now demolished

There were three locks here, the first locks after Leominster’s Wharf House & Wharf.
