In a departure from the normal way that we publish our programme of walks, we have decided that due to past problems with weather, personal commitments and other unforeseen circumstances, it is more prudent to announce each walk one at a time rather than a fixed annual list. So below is the first walk of 2025 that I hope you will find interesting, more walks are to follow and will be publish at least a couple of months ahead of time. All are welcome, members and non-members and the walk are free is there is no fee.

WALKS ANNOUNCEMENT (Aug-25)

Regrettably the canal walks for the rest of this year have had to be postponed due to an unfortunate accident incurred by our walk leader which has put him out of action for what remains of this year. While he doesn't anticipate any complications in his recovery (a broken leg), we have postponed our walks programme until the early spring of next year. We apologise for having to do this but I’m sure you will stand why we have. Enjoy the rest of the summer and we look forward to seeing you at the start of our 2026 programme of walks.
